Las Vegas Sun hosts basketball players and coaches from Southern Nevada’s top presenting high school teams for a media day previewing the upcoming season. Mirroring a professional sports press junket, on-site photographs and interviews are conducted with students, coaches and two Super Seven all-city teams.

On Wednesday, October 9, 2024, Las Vegas Sun hosted its annual High School Basketball Media Day at Red Rock Resort. Presented by Athletics and Las Vegas Aviators, the event mirrored a professional sports press junket with on-site photos and interviews with teams from across Southern Nevada. In between interviews, attendees connected with BreakDown (the anti-vape advocacy group) and Phase 1 ELITE Sports. All coaches and players enjoyed food sponsored by Capriotti’s and gifted a commemorative t-shirt provided by Nu World Graphics.
