August 3, 2021 — Las Vegas Sun’s annual High School Football Media Day gathered at Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa to interview Las Vegas’ most notable football stars for the upcoming 2021 season. The exclusive event provided media with an opportunity to discuss the upcoming season as well as speak with key players and coaches across Southern Nevada. Led by Ray Brewer, Las Vegas Sun’s Managing Editor, the all-day event featured press conference-style interviews, portraits, swag provided by Nu World Graphics and light bites courtesy of Bonanno’s New York Pizzeria. The event was celebrated with special remarks by Ray Brewer as this year marks his 25th year covering high school football in Las Vegas. After a year of being off the field, excitement and hope filled the air as players and coaches spoke to the media. Those in attendance included Bishop Gorman Lineman and Oklahoma commit Jake Taylor, Desert Pines four-star running back Jovantae Barnes, and Liberty Wide Receiver and Washington commit Germie Bernard. Coaches from Shadow Ridge, Liberty High School and Basic High School shared their excitement to be a part of a new classification, 4A, and were enthusiastic for what is to come this season.
