LAS VEGAS – They came from Overton, North Las Vegas, Henderson, Summerlin, Las Vegas and Boulder City. The Sun’s annual high school football media invaded Red Rock Resort on July 24th to take a look at the upcoming season. Not only is the event unique to Las Vegas, it’s believed to be one-of-a-kind nationally. Each school brought about three players, a coach and family members. With only a select few players advancing to play college football, this event is extra meaningful because it mirrors what’s at the next level. Players took a team portrait — which is used for coverage all season in Greenspun Media Group product — and recorded a press coverage-style interview. Coverage was blasted on the Sun’s Twitter page and featured #SunStandout. Special thanks to Red Rock for hosting, and Bok Bok Chicken for providing the food.
